Because it's AWESOME. The story is really good, romantic, I was squealing every time they kissed. The plot is amazing and the characters are unique. The series interests young people and teens.

SPOILER: The book is about Max's daughter, Phoenix, who takes on a new name and appearance. The book came out in 2020, and the flock is a lot older (For sure ages are unknown, but you may be able to do the math. Max was in prison for ten years, and when she had been imprisoned, Angel had been 10. When Angel was 7, Max was fifteen, 15 + 3 = 18, plus Max's 10 years in prison = 28, so I say Max is in her upper twenties, lower to mid thirties.) That is all.

There is currently a manga series for Maximum Ride. There is also a movie, but many things in the movie are inaccurate, such as the flock's looks, the way they travel, the destinations they travel to, etc. So if you want to watch it, go for it. But prepare yourself, and try not to criticize it too much.

There are no released plans for the Maximum Ride series to become a movie yet. I personally believe they may have sold the rights, but so far it is in a pre-production stage if it is being made into a movie at all.
