No church or religious organization stands between you and God. A given church can refuse you as a member but God doesn't pay any attention to that.

If the Mormon church is doing what you say, the Mormon church is more likely to be in trouble with the Almighty than you are.

The Mormon church is not doing that. The church has a very strict policy of political neutrality and will never tell it's members who to vote for. Church members are prohibited from discussing political candidates or political parties at church. Many prominent Mormons are Democrats and Obama supporters (for example, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid) and are just as faithful Mormons as Republican Romney supporters.

On top of that the church would have no way of knowing who you voted for, and it is against their policies to kick people out for such a trivial thing. You can only be excommunicated for very severe sins, such as murder, adultery, child abuse, robbery, or fraud.
