While the concept is far fetched, and the spending of government dollars on a project like this is unnecessary and stupid, zombies are possibly the most realistic monster in history. Zombies are so scientifically plausible, that the government has also released a survival handbook. I'm not saying that the zombie apocalypse will or will not happen, but the US government may feel safer knowing they have a elite zombie killing squad on their side.
