Other countries consider capitalist governments to be 'evil'; that they consider a society built on the pure want of material possessions to be something that is morally 'evil'. There is also the fact that this more or less stem from jealousy stemming from individuals in a deprived country. This has to do with the grass is greener on the other side effect, instead of attempting to improve the area in current control; it's an external problem which must be defeated. However, on the same note the United States, sad as it may be, will accept any threat of war on a whim, considering war in general is highly profitable and will affect the countries over all GPD and GPD for capita.

Please let me also update your question. After 11 years of continuous terror, it is no more a secret that well trained and organized armed groups of terrorists (from countries in all around the world) may target, anytime necessary, any people living in peace in any nation or country. I meant by people the ordinary ones in all sides though the American people were the first target. But terror can also target the chosen scapegoats among the men on power (likely outside America). Anyway, I guess you know now those who were and still are the real and sole beneficiaries from spreading the fears of terrorism and from every serious cruel terrorist crime against civilians (starting from the 9/11 massacre). If you don't, then let us accept the first answer here above which is already approved and proven officially.

The mission of a number of Islamic Terrorist groups is to bring about the Fall of the West and the Islamicization (both cultural and religious) of Western Nations. Islamic terrorist organizations tell their membership that the fight in which they are engaged is part of the holy Islamic struggle of Jihad and anyone who opposes them is not properly guided. Most Muslim terrorists wish to inspire fear in their enemies and therefore primarily attack civilians, considering them part of the enemy. Some "moderate" non-associated clerics have defended these activities claiming that the civilians represent part of the group that "is opposed to Islam".
As for the reason that they desire to bring about the Fall of the West, Islamic Terrorists have asserted that American troops in the Middle East, the US Support of the State of Israel, the US Support of the Independence of East Timor, the US failure to force all of its citizens to convert to Islam, and several other actions were sufficient to prove United States oppression by military means. (Whether this is sufficient evidence or not is controversial, but those Islamic Terrorists seem to hold that it is.) Therefore, in their view, any Muslim had the right to fight the United States military or occupying force, according to their reading of Q: 2:191-193.

If you are referring to the Middle East era, then the case is that terrorits are currently attacking all over the world in order to promote to the world that their region should be left independent and the Taliban, a terrorist organization wants to put an end to anything American, because Americans have invaded their land.

Fairness is not unilateral - the only way to address problems of discrimination is by even-ing the playing field for all. Education and free markets are the solution.

The "terrorists" are far from a monolith.
