Because Microsoft invented a new Xbox with greater capabilities. It is not that it's better in all categories only that it is a more capable console with the ability to handle complex games than the Xbox 360. Xbox was such a problem console requiring it's quick withdrawal for the market I know that you must have meant the Xbox 360.
