You replaced your rear brakes on a 2003 chev astro without opening the bleeder valve and now your rear brakes get real hot how do you fix it?

Back off the brake adjustment, or back off the e-brake adjustment, or the e-brake cables are stuck. No need to open bleeders.

Does a class a cdl include air brake endorsement?

There is no air brake endorsement. If you do not pass the written air brakes test AND complete your road test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes, then you get a restriction which prohibits you from operating an commercial vehicle which is equipped with air brakes. It is possible to have a Class A CDL with an air brake restriction.

What are the slack adjuster?

slack adjusters are part of the brakes. they are ocated on the axle next to each wheel. they are used to adjust the brakes,or to take the slack out on the lickages so as the brakes do not have accesive travel when applied The slack adjuster is the link between the operating rod in the brake chamber and either the S-cam (if you have drum brakes, which is what most of us have) or the power screw (if you have disc brakes) on an air brake system. The "adjuster" part is because the friction material wears out, and you've got to make the linkage longer as it does so the truck will stop properly. (Slack adjusters have been automatic for a long time now.) In operation: you step on the brakes, or you pull the brake valves on the dashboard. The operating rod pushes out, which pushes the slack adjuster, which turns the S-cam, which pushes the brake shoes apart and stops your truck.

Feels like the brakes operate when you turn the wheel?

The brakes could be binding or a caliper could be sticking. Remove the wheels and make sure that the brake system is operating properly.

Do you have to take test with a truck that has air brakes to get air brake endorsement?

On a US licence, there is no air brake endorsement - there is only a restriction for CDL drivers from operating a commercial vehicle equipped with air brakes if they don't complete the written test AND road test in a vehicle equipped with air brakes.
