bass clef
It's a type of clef used for low notes.
Treble clef is the upper stave of the grand stave used for harp and keyboard instruments. It is also sometimes used, along with tenor clef, for the highest notes played by bass-clef instruments such as the cello, double bass, bassoon, and trombone.
This is called the Grand Staff. It is commonly used for instruments with large ranges such as the piano and the organ. On the piano, the right hand usually plays the notes written in treble clef, and the left hand plays the bass clef notes.
Sometimes a clef has the number 8 below it, which indicates that the notes are to be played one octave lower than written. It can be used with treble clef for people who are unfamiliar with bass clef, or in bass clef to avoid excess ledger lines.

A bass clef is basically a trebble clef, but it tells you it's bass music/tablature.
The clefs are used to tell what register the music is to be played in. Treble is to be played in a higher register, alto and tenor are the middle registers and bass is the low register. These are the four main clefs used, however, the clefs that are mainly seen in music are the treble and bass clef. The clefs also determine where the notes are placed. The treble clef is also known as the 'G' clef as it starts on the G line of the stave (as given by a treble clef). The bass clef starts on the 'F' line of the stave (as given by the bass clef).
A treble clef and bass clef refer to music. A piano, for instance, is played by two hands....right hand plays notes on what is known as a treble clef, while the left hand plays on what is known as a bass clef. Most girls sing on the treble clef, since it can go very high. (Sopranos & Altos) Most guys sing on the bass clef, since it can go very low. (Tenors & Bass) Different kinds of instruments either play on the treble or bass clef.
