A treble clef and bass clef refer to music.

A piano, for instance, is played by two hands....right hand plays notes on what is known as a treble clef, while the left hand plays on what is known as a bass clef.

Most girls sing on the treble clef, since it can go very high. (Sopranos & Altos)

Most guys sing on the bass clef, since it can go very low. (Tenors & Bass)

Different kinds of instruments either play on the treble or bass clef.

they are just different ways of wriring music. Treble clef is used for the higher instruments whilst bass is used for the lower. Alto clef is the one in the middle, but this is uncommon

What clef does the play in?

The piano uses both the Treble clef (for higher pitches) and the Bass clef (for lower pitches). It plays in the key of C. Sometimes it is misinterpreted that the Treble clef is for the rigth hand and the Bass clef if for the left hand. This isn't true. Both hands can use the Treble clef or Bass clef, or even the right hand can use the Bass clef and the left hand can use the Treble clef.

Is A bass clef and a treble clef the same?

Clefs do not have 'sounds'. They are merely tools to indicate where on the musical stave notes are to be placed. However, the treble clef 'places' higher notes than the bass clef. If a clef is placed in the middle of the staff, then the notes that follow that clef are of that clef. For example, if the bass clef is placed on the treble staff, the notes that follow it are to be interpreted as "bass clef" notes and played using lower notes on the piano. The opposite is true if the treble clef is placed on the bass staff.
