The Bible is important because it puts the reader towards Christ.

  • The Mosaic moral law reveals our sinfulness and our need for a saviour.
  • The Mosaic ceremonial law was a foreshadow of Christ's sacrifice, and being spiritually cleansed by his blood.
  • There are events throughout the history of the Old Testament, that were glimpses into Christ's life and foreshadows of his purposes, of the ones he has accomplished, and those he will fulfill when he returns.
  • The proof of Christ's divine appointment through the many many prophesies that where written down hundreds of years before his birth about his coming.
  • The Gospel accounts tell us of Christ's life, death, and resurrection, as well as his mission, and his claims.
  • The acts of the Apostles tell us of the Apostles' faith in Christ, our need for the Holy Spirit in our ministry, and the authority in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • The letters to churches and individuals explain the reality of what Christ has done for us and our need for him.
  • The revelations of the last days, tells us of Christ's second coming and what he'll bring with it.
