Cloning does really have any effect on the Catholic Church beyond yet another horrific sin with which it must deal. The world has gone so bonkers lately when it comes to morals that for the Church to stand firm against the onslaught of filth that it coming out of all corners has become something of a marvel to behold. Anyone who still doubts that the Catholic Church is the only Church guaranteed by God has only to look at these issues and see how every other "Christian" Church in the world has caved in on divorce, abortion, contraception, etc. to realize that the only Church which has held firm and unchanging has been the Catholic Church. God has never give us rights to do things like "clone" human beings, He is still the creator and He will not be mocked, and for us to set ourselves up as little gods is to invite His Wrath.

The " catholic " in the creed has a lower case C..... therefore this is the universal church, not the actual Catholic Church. So catholic = Universal Church Catholic = The Catholic Church ( The one with the Pope )
