Is plasma isotonic to glomerular filtrate?

yes.....glomerular filtrate is isotonic to plasma

Plasma contains a much greater concentration of what than glomerular filtrate?

Proteins is the right answer.

Glomerular filtrate is very similar to?

plasma

Why are red blood cells absent from the glomerular filtrate?

first off you need to know that glomerular filtrate is plasma that has entered Bowman's capsule. Now the reason why red blood cells are normally absent from the glomerural filtrate is because they are to big to pass into the Bowman's capsule. Source : class knowledge

Compare the composition of blood plasma and urine?

You shouldnt need the internet to answer these questions. Read your notes or a book like they did before computers were around.

What is the process that is performed by the glomerulus that forms blood plasma without blood proteins?

Glomerular Filtration - a passive process in which fluid passes from the blood into the glomerular capsule (part of the renal tubule) Once in the capsule the fluid is called filtrate and is essentially blood plasma without proteins

Whenever the plasma glucose concentration exceeds the renal plasma threshold?

it shows in urine.

How is the reduction of plasma alanine concentration caused by gluconeogenesis?

Alanine is the major gluconeogenic amino acid. Plasma alanine is used to make glucose in the liver (Glucose-Alanine Cycle), and thus when this occurs plasma alanine concentration is decreased.

What is the normal constituents of CSF?

Water. It's an "ultra filtrate" of plasma - and thus (normally) has a much lower concentration of proteins, sugar, and salts than plasma.

Plasma proteins can pass through the glomerular capillary pores yet do not appear in the filtrate mainly because they are too large and are repelled by positive charges on the basement membrane outsid?

false

What are the two substances that are routinely found in filtrate but not found in urine products?

Ions and nutrients

What two substances can be found in the glomerular filtrate?

Basically blood plasma minus proteins.  The glomeruli can filter out most serum proteins, but lets a few small ones through (I think the cutoff is like 25kD).  Some albumin does manage to get through, this is recovered in the proximal tubule.
