Typography is also an important part of website design, not just print design. There are a lot of elements to be fitted on your screen without horizontal scrollbars (a design sin) and to get the most important information above the fold - everything you see without scrolling downward.
Of course, maybe the font isn't too small in general. Maybe you need a larger screen to display it (working on a 15"?) or glasses.
You can make the fonts larger yourself, but this will throw the design of the page off-kilter.
In Firefox, use CTRL + + to Zoom In on the website and CTRL + - to Zoom Out. These are also located Edit > Zoom > Zoom In/Zoom Out.
