why is the forbidden fruit mistaken for an apple
========================================
It is my understanding that there was something lost in translation?
Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek, to English
I believe the "apple" of the Semitic region was the fig, you know like the stuff inside of the fig newton. However, whether one uses fig or apple it does not truly matter to understand what was meant in genesis.
There are many biblical items that have not translated well.
For example, the world bible comes from the Greek word for book.
Bible does not precisely translate to Holy Book, just book.
However, what it precisely translates to and what it means today are 2 different things.
The apple is the forbidden fruit according to early Christian scholars. A forbidden fruit was mention in the bible, but it did not say what kind of fruit it was.
Adam gave eave the forbidden
Because to Edward, Bella is the forbidden Fruit, they are forbidden to be together but somehow, the forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest.
forbidden fruit
Forbidden Fruit
Because the apple was the forbidden fruit and Bella's blood is like the fobidden fruit for Edward.
Both ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil: a serpent tempted Eve who ate it first and then offered the forbidden fruit to Adam. But the bible never identifies that fruit as being an apple...
The Apple is suppose to represent the forbidden fruit like Bella and edward- their love is forbidden
golden apple = NOWHERE black apple =black apple sign cloud + flip
It stands for the forbidden fruit. The verse in Genesis in the bible says "The forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest" Hence, Edward is forbidden to Bella since they are natural enemies but their love is the most passionate.
the apple to the forbidden fruit.
