Why is the green leaf on the poppy only used in England and not Scotland?

You really need to ask the English. Poppies do not have green leaves like that. The Scottish poppy is a more accurate representation.
I believe the green leaf is supposedly for asthetic purposes, but it's a mystery to me.
The English are correct poppy is worn over the heart and the leaf is worn at the 11 o'clock position to signify the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.The date and time war ended and the date and time we all remember.It is not for aesthetic purposes!
