Why does your heart feel love?

Since the heart is the muscle that pumps our blood and keeps us alive, it is easy to associate love with life. Also when you love someone your heartbeat quickens. Or at least it should. The heart is in the core of our body and to love someone with all your heart means that you love them to the deepest part of you. That's what I think anyway.

your heart doesn't actually feel love its just a very strong emotion that makes you think that your heart is feeling. for example if you seriously depressed and heart-broken you feel the pain and it your heart feels like its aching, there is a psychological explanation, if a young child falls over or trips and they hurt themselves they ask for a kiss to make it better, the kiss doesn't actually work they just think it does so it hurts less. this applies to the heart, it doesn't actually feel its a mental thing. sorry xxx

It is very strange that this world uses the heart to symbolize love when in reality, the heart has nothing to do with love. What actually happens? When the senses of the body, the eyes, the skin comes into contact with something or someone we love, the messages go to our brain, the brain sends these messages to the heart that starts beating faster, pumping blood faster. And therefore, we feel a kind of special feeling or energy in the heart and therefore the heart has become a symbol of love. The heart, as an organ looks quite different from the heart that has become a symbol of love around the world. But love is a very powerful emotion and if we go beyond the symbolization of love to understand true love that is bliss, what the Sufis called Haqiqi and the Greeks called Agape, this universal Divine love is very powerful and we must realize this.

How the heart symbolizes love is just by being a heart its self!! Most people know the heart symbolizes love so really its just being a heart by its self.
