So, it never goes off? In a few days it will drain your battery?
My best guess is that either one of the door switches is not opening when you
close the door, or the timer module has failed. I haven't been able to find out
where the module is.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but on my '96, the interior light dimmer is a rotary thumbwheel located low on the dash where the driver's left hand can operate it. When it's rotated all the way to the right, the interior light comes on.
