Since the mid 1990's the TV, newspapers, magazines, film, news, and other media have been controlled by 5 companies. This means that 5 corporations control all that we see and hear and this doesn't allow for the "freedom of press" as we have known in the past. Therefore, all that we get is what they want us to know and think.
