A file with the AIF extension is an Apple AIFF audio file. You must have some video/picture content to combine with the audio before making into a Apple movie file (.MOV).

AVI and MOV files are video files. AVI stands for Audio Video Interleave. MOV is an apple format of a movie file.

Download QuickTime from Apple.com which play MOV file on your computer. OR you could burn it to DVD and watch it on your home DVD player. See the guide on blow link. Some players support play MOV files, but I always convert MOV file to WMV for my Windows Media Player, or other video formats for differents players. With Aimersoft video converter software.
A file with the extension MOV is one that contains multimedia such as a video with music as well. One would need the QuickTime software in order to play videos with this type of file.

As far as I know, you should be able to import .mov to the trial and pro version, but if you're having troubles just importing files in general, go to file-import-import file.
You mean GIF file? Convert the file to WMV for Windows Media Player and convert the file to MOV for quicktime.

iTunes video file extensions are usually .m4v or .mp4 as well as standard QuickTime .mov files.
