why is the pancreas so important to the human body
The pancreas secretes a fluid which is known as 'pancreatic juice.' This contains many enzymes, most of which are involved in the breaking down of substances eg starchExamples of what enzymes are contained:amylase - breaks down starchinsulinlipase - breaks down lipids & fatsGenerally the pancreas secretes anything that is need to be broken down for assimilation. Other less important fluids that are secreted include: secretin, somatostatin phosopholipase, and elastin.
When a Mexican moves to the United States he cannot understand why assimilation into the culture of the Americans is so important when his culture is good enough and he does not want to be Americanized.
Assimilation is important so that the blood reaches every part of body and also where it is need. (for recoveries).
The pancreas produces enzymes and hormones which help digest food. Therefore, the pancreas is important to the stomach and the intestines. They both would not function without the pancreas.

The pancreas
for starter ,it produces insulin.
Pancreas actually secrete a hormone named "Pancreatin" which acts on the target organ Stomach to start the secretion of enzymes and the gastric juice which would ultimately help in digestion and assimilation of the food inside the body. It also teleases CCK which helps to constrict the gall bladder to eject the bile too.
The pancreas is important in producing many important digestive enzymes to break down the carbs, proteins and lipids in the chyme. It also produces insulin, glucogon and somatostatin.
