it is called a rain forest because when plants get rained on they grow, right? and if they don't get rained on, they don't grow. the top of the rain forest is high, where clouds are. a cloud is steam, steam is water, water is rain. they are all the same thing. so, the cloud- rain- is coming down and almost laying on the top of the rainforest's, rain falls from a cloud even if it doesn't come to the ground on earth. it usually rains a lot by rainforest's. Also, we are losing some rain forests around the world.
