One of the engines emission controls MAY be malfunctioning , could be anything from
the gas tank filler cap not installed correctly , poor quality fuel , a sensor etc.
As long as your
engine temperature and oil pressure are O.K. just keep using the vehicle a few times
and see if the problem corrects itself and the light goes out . If the light doesn't go out
you will have to get the vehicle scanned for any trouble code(s) to diagnose and
repair the problem . If the light is flashing on and off every second or so , that means
an ignition misfire has been detected and avoid any fast acceleration - decelleration
to avoid damaging your catalytic converter(s) and have it repaired as soon as
possible
