Yes. The shape (and size) of a molecule determines the physical and chemical properties of that substance.

Biochemical reactions, for example, is greatly effected by size and shape of molecules. The senses also depend on molecule shape and size!

The shape of a protein is extremely important. Your body is essentially made of proteins, allowing you to move, absorb energy, and send signals throughout your body. There are 20 amino acids that can form, and proteins are made up of different sequences of these amino acids. Therefore, because proteins are made of the same materials, the overall sequence of amino acids changes the shape of a protein, thereby changing its function in the cell.
