A: An IC it maybe 2" long but the silicon chip can be as small as a 3mm The rest of the real estate packaging in plastic ceramics whatever is there to provide support for the external connection pins and the wires welded inside of the silicon chip
Most are not.
The silicon is a semiconductor and can be doped to control its conductivity and create the junctions needed to make diodes and transistors. These diodes and transistors can act as switches and logic gates in properly designed circuits. Silicon can also be easily oxidized to become a robust waterproof insulator to passivate and protect the circuits and components beneath it. The aluminium and/or copper are just good conductors used to "wire" the silicon components together and provide pads that can be used to attach wires or metal beads so that the chip can be connected to external circuits.

Simple, Use the multi-meter , switch to the diode option then connect the positive wire to the positive of diode n negative to the negative ( +ve wire red, -ve wire black) if the there is a reading of =~0.7V then it is silicon. and if it is =~ 0.3V then it is germanium.
Plastic, copper wire, silicon chips, and various other materials.
Anode is positive, cathode is negative
The smallest wire on a chip is measured in microns. Current chips have wires that are less than one micron wide, while a human hair is about 100 microns thick.
get the black wire and then the red wire and then pull the chip out of it and take the key and unlocked the dricer door
Insulation
What's the wire on a dart bored called
exactly that a chip it pretty much just talks 2 your internal computer
