The starter is located on the drivers side of the engine compartment, just inside the rear of the inner fender well. If you are looking to replace the starter it is not a fun job. I read that you have to drop the lead pipe. I took off the heat shield on the wiring harness by the lead pipe and the heat shield on the lead pipe. Then I took off the cross member. Finally I put my jack under the engine and rised it as far as I could. This allowed me to flip the starter and pull it out in reverse. I still found I had to wiggle it. I also shaved a little of my tranny housing of with a dremmel. This was a sucky job, but it worked.

I found that the easiest way to get to the starter of an 1987 Trooper II is to take the front right wheel off. You should see it right there, and with relatively easy access.
It is located on the flywheel.
The starter on a 94 Isuzu Trooper is located on the bottom, passenger side of the vehicle. It is found at the rear of the engine, at the flywheel.
im looking for a wire diagram for f150 starter i am connecting
Starter Relay Isuzu Trooper (Diesel Engine) located in fuse box (engine room), grey color. They have 4 relay (Power Windows-black, AC-black, Engine/Alternator-blue, and Starter-diesel engine-grey)
The starter for the 1992 Isuzu Trooper was a little difficult to locate, honestly. One may find it on the driver's side of the motor, directly above the oil pan.
a diagram of the starter can be found in a haynes manual or look yourself. Most are mounted under the firewall or enging on the left side where the serpentine belt is. check out the haynes manual that will help you out
