The Tudor Rose was very important because it was a sign to show alliance between the Lancesters and the Yorks. Before Henry the VII, the two families kept on arguing over the throne (aka. Wars Of The Roses). When Henry was old enough he decided to marry Elizabeth (not Elizabeth I) so that the Yorks and the Lancesters would become one family.
