The earth is a planet and the sun is a star. The star was born before the planet from a much larger resources called a nebula. The hydrogen heats up and becomes sensed. This creates a stars. These stars generate gravity which caused debris from the big ban to orbit the star as it grew larger. Then the debris practically banged into eachother creating asteroids and comets. These asteroids and comets fused together creating moon size planets. Then those banged together to create a dwarf planet earth. Dwarf earth then joined with other dwarf planets to make. That's it in very simple terms. Comparing a planet and a star is like comparing an apple to a leaf.
Simply because it is closer - it appears larger and brighter than other stars.
The Pistol star is 6,500,000 times brighter than our Sun
VY Canis Majoris is 2,000 times larger than our Sun
See link for a size comparison with other stars.
Because it's many times bigger and brighter than the outer planets. The mass of all the planets even Jupiter put together doesn't even touch 1% of the sun's mass. It's composed mostly of hydrogen too which is the lightest element in existence this blows out its surface area like a balloon.
From what I know the sun is not the planet. The Sun is one of the star which is nearest to the earth that's why it looks bigger than other stars, but in reality there are some stars which are biggest than the sun
The sun is not the biggest planet. the sun is not even a planet! its a star.
The Sun is our solar system's star. It is the body around which all the planets of the solar system revolve. Stars are always larger than the planets which revolve around them.
The sun is the only star in our solar system. The stars you see at night are far beyond the solar system. They appear smaller and dimmer than the sun because they are much farther away.
The Sun is approximately 109 times bigger than Earth, our planet.
The stars that are bigger than the sun and earth are the stars that are bigger than the sun and those stars are Sirius,Pollux and Arcturus
The sun is about one million times larger than the Earth.
yes
no the earth and the moon are not the same size the sun is about 100 times bigger than the earth
The sun is 1,000,000,000,000 times bigger than the earth.
The Sun is a star, it is Much Bigger than the Earth. It's probably thousands of times bigger than the Earth. Planets orbit around the Sun. One of those solar flares that leap out from the Sun like a flame from a fire is much bigger than the Earth.
No, the Earth is not bigger than the Sun. The Sun is 109x bigger than the Earth.
The Sun is approximately 109 times bigger than Earth, our planet.
The sun is bigger than the earth that is how they are different.
No, the sun is bigger than the earth.
Mars. Not Mars. Jupiter is a lot bigger than Earth, but the Sun is much bigger than a planet.
Yes, the sun is bigger than the Earth.
The stars that are bigger than the sun and earth are the stars that are bigger than the sun and those stars are Sirius,Pollux and Arcturus
Earth is bigger than the moon, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the sun's corona.
YES!
