"Infant formulas are heat treated to maintain the bacteriologic quality of the product. This can be done traditionally by either retort sterilization or high-temperature short-time (HTST) treatment. Recently Ultrahigh-temperature treated formula has become more commonly used. If powdered formula is made, then an additional spray drying would be required after this. Retort sterilization is a traditional retort sterilization method that uses 10-15mins treatment at 118°C. Ultrahigh-temperature (UHT) is a method that uses a brief (2-3 seconds) treatment at 142°C." ... from wikipedia

FORMALIN CHAMBER The new concept of sterilization system is lightweight transparent, corrosion proof and made from special grade of polymer with two sliding trays to ensure 100% sterilization of your surgical instruments. For best result it is recommended to clean the instrument thoroughly before arranging it suitably in the try. Eight to ten formalin tabs should be kept exposed in the cabinet for overnight vapour saturation. Subsequently only twenty to sixty minutes of exposure will be required ensuring satisfactory sterilization. This time period, of course depends on the concentration of formalin. It is available in various sizes.
