Ok. I am having this problem too. I was told that I need to replace the thermostat. If you have already done this then there is one other thing that I can think of to do. On the radiator there should be some kind of release for air. This needs to be opened when you fill the radiator. If you need more info you can email me at snipermcguns@hotmail.com
is coolant leaking from engine?or is it leaking from water pump and running down engine and appears to leak from engine
Check the radiator hoses. The coolant is either leaking out of the new radiator, or it is coming from a radiator hose. The water pump may be leaking. Hose clamps may be loose.
Water loss out the bottom of the engine on a Fiat Punto is an indication of a leaking radiator, radiator hose, or engine block. Most repairs are relatively easy, but the block is a severe issue.
Check radiator hose, leaking water pump, look for hole in radiator, leaking coolant bottle or leaking seals.
maybe your radiator is broken and you need to get a new one or just get a reparation if the radiator starts leaking when is in use it may be leaking because of the pressure of the water.
It could be the radiator, the hoses, a leaking coolant tank or the water pump.
the lead that goes to radiator came out, when l put back in would not hold and now leaking, water pressure was low and water is funny colour (kinda red)
either your radiator is leaking, head gaskit is leaking if it's your head gaskit leaking you will have water in your oil or water coming out your exhaust pipe,or you might have a freeze plug going bad.
Thermostat and radiator
Coolant? Bad radiator Radiator has a separate cooling tank (usually at the side or bottom of radiator) for transmission fluid. At times this tank ruptures allowing coolant to get into transmission. Most times causing a transmission failure.
Remove the bottom radiator hose. Stick a hose in the top of the radiator. Turn the water on. Allow the water to run through the radiator and out the bottom of the radiator.
Either the water pump impeller is loose on it's shaft, or you have a leaking head gasket.
