There is a big Turkish influence in Greek culture because Greece was under strict Turkish rule for 400 years (1453-1821)! It's logical. Even the word Greek comes from the Turkish word for slave "grekos". The correct way to say Greek is Hellinass from Hellas which means Greece!

The presence of Turkish influence in Greek culture can be attributed to the centuries-long Ottoman rule in Greece, which lasted from the mid-15th century until the early 19th century. During this time, there was cultural exchange and mixing between Greeks and Turks, leading to influences in areas such as music, architecture, cuisine, and language.
