If you have washed your car recently or if you had lots of rain, it may have leaked in from the firewall of just leaked in from the vents, try not to run your fan on high when getting the car washed of heavy rain. Hope this helps.

There are two fuse boxes on a 2001 Mazda tribute. One is in the engine compartment just behind the battery above the drivers wheel fender. The other is on the left wall near the floor forward of the drivers door down where the drivers feet rest.

There is a switch on the clutch pedal that keeps you from starting the car in gear and killing someone. You should use your clutch anyways. Saves wear and tear on the starter and battery
i would say either a leak would cause a puddle underneath, or if you parked ontop of a spot of fluid that was already there before you arrived.
