the Vaccume Brake Booster is bad.
Check the proportioning valve.
They have to be pressed out mechanically. Mitsubishi blew it on this design.
The brake fluid reservoir on a 2002 Dodge Caravan is located on the master cylinder. This will be in the engine bay, on the drivers side, near the top.

You need to have the engine and abs checked for codes.
There is a brake switch under the dash immediately in front of the brake pedal arm. It has a little button on it that is depressed when the brake is off, but when you press on the brake pedal, the button comes out and the brake lights come on. I'm still trying to get mine out, so if anyone figures out how to do that, I'd like to know. :)

the fuses which opperate the brake lights are located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. the relays are to the left of the clutch in a white connection cluster.
A dashboard light appearing when brake pedal is depressed usually means brake fluid is low.
Check for vacuum leaks, starting with the power brake booster.
There can be several causes that the engine will die when you press on the break of your 1994 Chevrolet Caprice. The most prevalent cause is restricted fuel flow. The engine can get enough gas to run when the accelerator is depressed but not enough fuel when you apply the brake.
