I think your confused. The fact is that there is an elevated level of myelin basic protein in the cerebrospinal fluid. This is common to people how have multiple sclerosis. I think the real question is :WHY is there an elevated level of myelin basic protein in the cerebrospinal fluid hope this helps:)

Yes. Increased protein in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) can indicate inflammation or some other disorders. It may indicate an infection, such as meningitis. Other conditions, such as Multiple sclerosis, have increased proteins in the CSF.
Elevated blood cholesteol
The most common cause of elevated C reactive protein is infection.
I get a newsletter with at least 20 new discoveries in one day. However one stood out since I am interested in MS.By combining a brain-protein gene and an existing medication, the researchers were able to prevent the mouse version of multiple sclerosis. Likewise, the treatments produced near-complete remission in the animal models. The findings, which researchers said have significant potential for treating multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune disorders, are published in the journal Molecular Therapy.
These are two different problems. Multiple Sclerosis is where areas in the brain and spinal cord lose their protein insulation, and Spinal stenosis is where there is an encroachment on the cord, usually occurring in the lower back area. This is to say that (most likely) arthritis occurs at the end plate (extreme bottom, or top of vertebrae, and the adding on of new bone to those areas causes the spinal canal to become smaller, eventually resulting in pressure on the spinal cord.

Elevated albumin levels in the blood can indicate dehydration, kidney disease, or an inflammatory condition. It may also be a sign of excessive protein intake or certain types of cancer. Further evaluation is needed to determine the underlying cause of the elevated levels.
