According to the FBI Uniform crime report, there were 13,913 murders and manslaughters committed in TOTAL with ALL types of weapons. 9,433 murders and manlaughters committed with all types of firearms (2011- data not yet out for 2012) A murder every 2 minutes would be 262,800 murders.
