This question is very ignorant. First of all, there is just as much life in ponds and streams as in lakes, rivers, oceans, and seas. Second of all, there is not an irregular amount of life in "ponds and streams" in general.

You can tell if a stream is flowing into a pond on a topographic map by looking at the contour lines around the stream and pond. If the contour lines of the stream are crossing over and descending towards the pond, it indicates that the stream is flowing into the pond. Additionally, the elevation values of the contour lines can also help determine the flow direction.

A river typically supports more life than a pond due to its larger size, faster flow of water, and greater diversity of habitats. Rivers provide more resources and opportunities for diverse species of fish, insects, birds, mammals, and plants to thrive compared to a pond.

To build a natural stream pond, you can start by selecting a suitable location with access to water flow and sunlight. Dig out a pond shape, create a stream channel leading to it, and line the pond with a flexible liner. Add rocks, plants, and other natural elements to create a habitat for wildlife. Ensure proper filtration and circulation to maintain water quality.
