It honestly depends on what you consider to be lies. If a lie is merely a view or claim that you disagree with, then the proliferation of "lies" on this website is indicative of the fact that your personal view is only one of many possible interpretations of reality. If a lie is something that is demonstrably false, such as the claim that Christopher Columbus arrived in Hispaniola in 1392 as opposed 1492, those issues arise because the contributors on this website can be anyone and may not necessarily know the strict historical facts or because of simple writing errors.
The job of Supervisors on the site is to weed out errors of the latter category and make WikiAnswers a useful site to find out information.
