A GFX is a banner that is made by you. It is made out with pictures and you get to do whatever you want to it to make a banner out of it.
One could get web banner advertising by signing up with Google Adsense. If one has a website it would take one about an hour to sign up, download the code, place the code on one's webpage and upload the new version of one's webpage
Although it is actually very hard to find that information anywhere on the website I have found a price for advertising. $1-2 for a side banner and up to $5 for a banner across the bottom of a webpage.
