Songsam is escorting Tokcahe, after Tokchae had gotten into "trouble", but later finds Tokchae had no bad attentions and let him go, Symbolizing the crane in the flashback. Tokchae knew he was going to get killed so he mine as well try to get away from the other army officials like Songsam. :-)
