Water leaking from the seal
it would have a crack with water dripping or spraying out of it.

Check the hose that goes into your water pump but most likely it is a bad water pump dripping from the weep hole. I would replace the water pump if you can trace the water from that area
It is the part under the alternator, right front corner.

If something is "dripping", then it usually means that water is coming from it slowly and intermittently. For example, if a wet towel is hung on a rail, it would be "dripping" water.
100,000 mile or more. A water pump life expectancy varies. if maintained 110k or more. Abused (i.e. low coolant/ overheating) pumps much less. If there's water dripping from pump's weep hole, or you notice a puddle of water under your parked car below the <engine>, its time to replace pump.
yes and if it is frosty and the water is left dripping you can also get ice forming in your drains.
what type of car. ck for any thing that might be dripping on p/s belt. ck for water pump dripping coolant on p/s belt...... if not, try flushing system if fluid doent look clear. worked? ccol. if not< replace pump but check operation of rack and pinion
