Check your fluid level, the synchro's are not working, and it may be because theres no lube.
you have to find the speedo cable on the side of the trans near the rear. unscrew the speedo ring on the cable and pull the cable out of the trans. then remove the small bolt and clamp on the trans right next to where the cable was. this allows you to remove the speedo gear. it may be hard to remove as it has an O-ring sealing it in the trans. on 4x4 I think the cable goes to the transfer case instead of the trans. but otherwise same process.
try checking the fluid level or if you use a heavy trans oil try a lower weight. check pilot bearing
your hydraulic clutch went out maybe
There are several things that can cause your 2005 Jeep manual transmission to shift hard between first and second gear. The most common cause is a malfunctioning shifting fork.
The straight bar going from gear stick to gear box is possibly bent.. Or not bolted on.. There are two bars between gear stick and the gearbox check both of them
YOU HAVE a 03-72le transmission and its all electronic.the car has to be taken in to be diagnoised.more electronics even engine electicals can cause your trans to shift hard.take you car to a reputable transmission shop
you could be going into the wrong gear or you need to have it loosened or greased up
probly cause the manual gear oil is cold. mine dose it too in the winter. you might need to get it changed, but they'll put fully synthetic oil in it and it will probly still shift hard when its cold. just take it easy until you get the oil and the gears movin and warmed up hope that awnsers your question :D
There were 627 manual trans and 140 auto trans hardtop GTO's and 24 manual trans, 13 auto trans convertible GTO's with Ram Air IV motors. Total Judge production for '70 was 3,629 hard tops and 168 convertibles. My information does not break it down farther.
I'd bet that the clutch is dragging, not releasing fully.
Overdrive is almost like another gear for your transmission. Say you have a four-speed w/ overdrive automatic transmission in your car. Once you get up into fourth gear, and if you're not trying to accelerate hard, the trans will kick into overdrive. It drops the engine's RPM's and saves gas. When you are traveling on the highway it help to conserve fuel.
sounds like your clutch is not disengaging, have you checked it?
