Well, she could be pregnant. Most dogs start going into heat at six months. If your dog is spayed then it must be something else, duh. Does your dog get out of your yard occasionally or do male dogs come into your yard. If so then i hate to break it to you but dogs can get pregnant that early, it doesn't mean they should though.

Your dog lookes like a German shepherd but his colour is brown and white in colour. His face is a little different from a German shepherd and he has a bushy tail what is his breed?

He/She is probably a German shepherd mix. If you had ever noticed that German Shepherds vary in color and size from one to the other, and had gathered though research that these animals were bred with many types of shepherd dog, with a main cross being the wolf, you might agree that it stands to reason that if fact this dog may actually be a German Shepherd with a different heritage. From what you have said in the question I would say it's a German shepherd Akita mix. :)

What is the temperament of a German shepherd?

A well bred German Shepherd should be kind and faithful to it's owners as well as being an affectionate and calm companion. They are also great guarders and will defend their territory bravely.Unfortunately this bravery and protectiveness can get them into trouble as they will spring to their owners defence, many people have gone to give their friend a hug and their Shepherd has taken it wrong as sprung at the hugger. With proper socialization a German Shepherd is excellent around fellow pets, children and other dogs.

Is a male dog a German shepherd?

Every single breed, in fact every single mammal on this earth has both male and female of each gender. You don't have all male dogs being a German Shepherd and no other breed or else they'll all be extinct.

When is a female German shepherd ready to mate?

Whilst it is possible to breed from a German Shepherd on her first heat cycle, this is NOT advisable. As your dog is still developing at this age, if she becomes pregnant she will have to give her vital nutrients and vitamins to her growing puppies, which would stunt her growth. It may also be damaging to both her physical and mental well-being as she is too young. You should wait until she has had at least three heat cycles before breeding from her.

Is being 9 weeks pregnant and not showing a bad thing?

What is the difference between Belgian tervuren and German shepherd?

The Belgian Tervuren is more squarely built than the German Shepherd, has a longer coat, is lighter of foot, greater overall speed and has smaller ears. The German Shepherd has a louder bark, longer tail and has a more sloping top line than the Belgian Tervuren. The Belgian Tervuren's coat always has black tipped guard hairs. The German Shepherd tends to shed more frequently. There is also a size difference being that the German Shepherd is slightly larger and longer than the Tervuren. Once you see them side by side, the differences are very apparent and you will never mistake a Terv for a German Shepherd. I believe the Belgian Tervuren is a more serious herder and is probably not as good with children because he tends to chase and nip in order to keep them in line but this is just a general observation. Both are great dogs!
