I have recently had no spark from my 99 yamaha banshee, i went threw everything, redid my wiring, got a new cdi box, checked my kill switch, i pretty much did everything you could, until i had toke the boot off the coil (it unscrews) the part that goes over the spark plug, and what i did was eliminated the boot and just put the spark plug in the coil, and then checked for spark and thank god i found my problem, u most likely just need new boots i got new spark plugs and boots for 12 dollars, i tried to explain this the best way i could and i hope this is your problem, but remember do not give up on your sheeeeee :)

Transmission fluid from the auto parts store works the best in my banshee, I buy type F whenever possible but have used dextron/mercon with same results. I have used trans fluid in my motor bikes since 1976. All my bikes shift flawlessly and have never had any trans or clutch problems..

The spark plug gap for all years/models of Yamaha PW80 and BW80 is 0.024" and NGK part number is BP6HS. NGK plugs come "pregapped" but it's always a good idea to double check before you install any plug, old or new.
