most thermostats have a degree difference.. what that means is if you have it set on 74 and the degree diffence is set at 4 it will have to get to 70 degrees before shutting off.. but if it gets down past that i would say the thermostat is no good and needs to be replaced.
Check the temperature control cable
Low refrigerant charge? Temperature control cable not adjusted properly?
it's an air conditioner because you made it into cool
If central air conditioner turns on but is not blowing through the vents, check the filter. If it is dirty, change it. Change the thermostat into cool, this will defrost the air conditioner.
You mean the outside unit is running and blowing but the inside unit is not blowing? Shut it off! Who ain't blowing? Elaborate please..
It likes someone else better.
If the air conditioner fuse keeps blowing out on a 1993 Geo Metro, one possibility for this is that the serpentine belt is too tight. The motor for the air conditioner is not turning as freely as it should. The blower motor resistor could also be bad which taxes the air conditioner pump.
If the air conditioner is not new it could have stopped blowing cold air because of several different things, too many to list here. Here are couple of possible reasons: all the refrigerant gas has leaked away; a pump has stopped working; someone else turned the temperature control to a higher temperature...? The best advice anyone can give you is to call a licensed Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician to fix it for you.
It is just a simple fan blowing over a coil.
If your air conditioner is running outside by not blowing cold air inside through your vent, your indoor coil is frozen. You will need to turn everything off and allow the unit to thaw out.
The most common cause of an air conditioner not blowing air is a plugged filter. Be sure your filter is clean.
If your heater is a heat pump , then yes.
