What does it mean when your dog bites their feet?

They are not eating their feet, but chewing on them. You would need to take your dog into a Veterinarian to get an acurate diagnosis but I would guess there is some sort of skin issue going on, such as a interdigital cyst or moist dermatitis. Check for a foxtail ot any other foreign object in between the toes or in the bottom of the foot. Check the feet thoroughly. Clean them up with an good antibiotic soap and pat them dry. A Vet would need to make a diagnosis for treatment. You do need to stop your dog from chewing on its feet though, can use a bitter spray such as bitter apple to stop the chewing.

You should check the pads & in between the toes to be sure he's not trying to pull something out that's injured him (glass, rocks, ticks, etc.)

some dogs react to the types of fertilizers used in the grass outside cause they may not be used to it or it bothers them. Other dogs nibble on their paws simple because they are bored.

Well if you are pulling the dogs tail or messing around with it, it will get angry/annoyed and may bite you. the bite the leg because it is closest to them!

it is not the feet they are interested in. it is wierd actually...the dog smells unfamilier scents and sweat. so the dog does what it would naturally,bite or lick you feet.
