Dogs who throw up yellow or white frothy liquid are throwing up bile. It is normal for this to occur on occasion, and can sometimes be attributed to an empty stomach. If it happens frequently, see your veterinarian.

∙ 11y agoThe yellow foam is from either gastric acid or bile being regurgitated on an empty stomach. This is not normal and you should take your dog to your veterinarian.
This can be caused by a bacterial or viral infection, an impaction or obstruction in the intestinal tract, intoxication or poisoning, infestation with intestinal worms, etc.

∙ 11y agoYellow is bile from the upper small intestine and the white may be foam from the stomach. This would be dry heaves, and could indicate a foreign body, obstruction or gastrointestinal infection - if your dog keeps doing this, you need to take him/her to a vet for an examination.

Dogs vomit for a lot of reasons. If the vomit appears normal, ie it is yellow, yellow and foamy, white and foamy, mostly water, or food, then it is probably okay so long as he doesn't keep doing it more than occasionally. However, if he vomits something dark, something that looks like coffee grounds, worms, blood, or something else you cannot identify, then he needs urgent veterinary care.

it if almost looks white yellow and may have frothing bubbles this is probably stomach acid. dogs produce high amounts of acid in order to break down food. if more acid then is needed is produced then they will offen vomit it up. be sure to give the dog regular meals 2 to 4 times a day and try to spread them out, this will help use acids and settle the stomach if the dog keeps it up see you vet asap.
