A guinea pig is a rodent that belongs to the family called caviidae. One way to tell if the guinea pig is getting enough water is if the guinea pig can reach the tip of the water bottle easily without having to stand on their hind legs.
If the guinea pig is getting an otherwise balanced diet rich in vitamin C and good quality hay, no harm will come.
It is spelled "guinea pig". You got it right! :)
There is no actual disease caused by putting your guinea pig near a draft or drafty place. Doing this does not cause a specific illness- it just stresses the pig out, causes them to have chills, and overally makes them more susceptible to diseases and ailments. Probably the most common ailment guinea pigs get after being subjected to these conditions is a respiratory infection.
Well, it really depends, see, if you are planning on getting two guinea pig's it's not the best idea to get two males.. They tend to fight. So if you are planning on getting two guinea pig's I suggest that you get either two females or a female and a male. But, if you get a male and a female , they can have baby's but females usually only have baby's after about 4months of age. But if you are planning on getting just one guinea pig, both males and females are great!
When you pet your guinea pig and she/he purrs that is saying "thanks, I love this/you." When he/she snezzes, they're probably just getting dust out of thier nose.
A Guinea Pig..
