Why is your guppies fish eyes swelling up and turning jet black?

When a tropical fish turns dark or black it usually means it has become blind. Most fish adapt in some way to their background so that they blend in better and avoid being eaten. A blind fish, seeing nothing but darkness often will change its color to reflect this darkness becoming darer in color or black.

Do a water change ASAP then stick to the following rules. . :- 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water changed every week. Keep the above rules and your fish stand a chance of survival. Fail in any of them and I can guarantee that you will have constant health problems with your fish.
