The most likely reason for this occurance is your firewall is stopping computers from sending and receiving data. Norton doesn't recognize your network connection as allowed so it is blocking it automatically. You want to start Norton and configure the settings. Pay close attention to the firewall settings. Also so that this doesn't happen I again see if you can get Norton to ask want to do before it doesn't it. If you can do this they you will know when Norton denies access.
