maybe you need to check into resetting you oil light. i have worked for jiffy lube and just about every car has to have the oil light reset. so see what that does for you. if that dont work you may have problems with low oil preasure .

We just replaced our entire exhaust system in a 97 skylark custom 4 cylinder 2.4. It cost us almost $700.
low pressure side on a buick skylark with a 2.4 engine is by the compresor. you get to it from under the car. left side, front side of engine.
Its in the gas tank, i replaced mine 2 mths. ago.
I have a 1995 Skylark and the gasket was replaced about 4 years ago and I've had no trouble at all. It's a V-6 3100 engine.
Refrigerant for a 1996 Buick Skylark is inserted into the low pressure AC hose. This hose is found on the left side of the engine bay.
Should be on the larger hose from the compressor
Well if it's the same as the 97 buick Skylark the blue or low pressureAC line is near the lower pressure hose coming off of the radiator... almost right next to it.
My oil pressure is usually slightly below the 40 mark on the oil guage.
