Why is your sim being haunted on The Sims 2 for PC?

There is a tombstone or grave on the lot and no one is mourning the dead sim. Usually clicking on the tombstone or urn and selecting the "mourn" option will keep the ghost quiet for a night or two. Some ghosts are more active than others, so some may need more frequent mourning to quiet down.
