It could be from sludge build up not allowing the oil galleys to drain properly. If so you can remove the valve covers and use a wire hanger or long screw driver to try to open them up

Assuming you mean "valve cover gasket", the gasket seals the valve cover to the head so as not to leak oil.
It sounds like you need to change your valve cover gasket.
It is a gasket (a seal) between the valve cover and the head that prevent the leakage of oil, and protects the valves from dirt.
If you are asking because of your valve cover leaking oil, there was a recall on that year valve cover gasket.

It should be on top of the valve cover on the driver side right where you add oil. The oil cap is at the end of the valve cover towards the back of the engine and the pcv valve is on the same valve cover but towards the front of the engine. It sticks out of the valve cover just like the the oil cap does. I have the exact same year and model car as you and that's where mine is located at.
